A wonderful Victorian Revival "Man in the Moon"?pendant from the?vintage (ca1960) era! This whimsical?piece is crafted in 14k yellow and white gold and features an alluring carved?moonstone center. The design portrays?a recognizable "Man in the Moon" face, which has intricately carved facial features for a realistic 3-dimensional look. The translucent face rests?in a closed back setting and hangs from a sparkling diamond bail at the top. The moonstone is bezel set and surrounded by a scalloped halo of bead-set single cut diamonds, estimated to weigh approximately 1.0ctw with H/I color, VS range clarity. The quality of the color is difficult to capture in a photograph, but is quite lovely in person. This?very unique?piece would look perfect on a gold chain and would?make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements:?The pendant's diameter measures 3/4", excluding the bail.??
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the carved?moonstone and all of the diamonds are intact.?
